This week’s Three From Free, includes a road trip fueled by bacon, a biscuit that has latched onto creative social media marketing, and posters created by nature itself. Enjoy!   Incorporating social media, adventure and bacon is what Oscar Mayer did for a previous promotion. The campaign followed Josh Sankey who travelled across America, coast to coast, with only a truck full of bacon to barter with. An innovative campaign that encourages people to get involved – Jessie Oreo used the hype of the iPhone5 to promote their biscuits with this clever campaign for the iOreo5. “Enhanced twisting. Upgraded licking. Better dunking. Same cookie”. A fine example of PR in social media – Jessie Mercedes Benz are constantly pushing the mark with advertising, which is probably why they show up in this blog so often. An innovative way to get the message across with the integration of QR codes to enhance consumer interaction. Very nice – Kelly

This week’s Three From Free, includes a company whose creativity gives them the edge, a UK bus company who is in the business of changing their image from drab to fab, and a digital street installation giving the people of Quebec a taste of pure magic. Enjoy!   I love that Absolut are constantly pushing the boundaries and trying to make their products unique. I think this is what keeps them at the top and certainly gives them a ‘cool’ edge over other competitors. – Kelly Buses are usually reserved for the elderly or teenage kids, but this bus is a rockstar and is changing that image one square at a time. You know you want to ride that bus! – Jessica   To promote its magic festival the city of Quebec decided to use a digital street installation to get some attention from passers-by. The stunt created the illusion of invisibility to give people a taste of the magic festival. A very creative way to get some attention – Jessie

This week’s Three From Free, including an interesting twist on Chat Roulette, a rather horrific bathroom advertisement and the world’s first man aisle. Enjoy!   An Agency in Belgium has used the idea of Chatroulettte to help give cats a new home. Instead of matching people with other people, Catroulette matches people with cats that need homes. With short videos for users to watch, you can either adopt or skip to see another cat. What a great idea – Jessie Check out this bathroom advertisment for the board game Clue, which makes everyone a ‘suspect’ when they wash their hands with soap that replicates blood – Jessie A West Side market in NYC created the world’s first ‘Man-Aisle’ containing all of men’s favourite’s: booze, barbecue sauce, chips, and razors. An innovative idea to get the market some media and presumably a lot more male customers- Kelly

This week’s Three From Free, including an enormous barrel organ to celebrate the 3D release of Star Wars, what seems to be the end of the world and a great display of social media engagement. Enjoy! To celebrate the release of Star Wars Episode 1 in 3D, a giant lego Barrel Organ was created to place in cinemas across Germany. A great way to engage fans and make the release standout amongst other releases- Kelly What a visual! A few years back, an Indian Advertising agency placed this poster near Mumbai to promote the release of The Day After Tomorrow. Look closely, the advertising agency have even placed what looks to be the tip of the Empire State Building further out to sea.- Jessie Social media is a great way to engage in direct communication with consumers. Samsung have grasped at an opportunity here, and I’m sure it paid off for them! Great consumer engagement – Kelly
