Bring meeeee the pizza! Dominoes have used pioneering science from the 60s to create the world’s first ‘Tummy Translator’ app, which aims to revolutionize the way people order pizza by translating tummy rumbles into corresponding ingredients. Such a playful way to give the consumer another way to choose from the millions of choices that Dominoe’s offers! Take a look below; Leading on from our post last week about Julie Bishop’s emoji interview with Buzzfeed (you can find it here) – she’s gone and done it again! Appearing on Channel 9’s Today Show she was asked about her thoughts on the request from Govenor-General Peter Cosgrove for a $2,000 Thermomix for his kitchen. Her response? nothing short of perfect! Find it around the 1 minute mark! The power of a hashtag!! This week was all about the Oscar buzz! However this year, instead of the sole focus being on the dresses being worn, famous women of Hollywood such as Reese Witherspoon and Lupita Nyong’o encouraged twitter users to communicate with them via the hashtag #AskHerMore. The campaign was started by The Representation project in an effort to encourage social users to value the accomplishments of women in Hollywood and ignite deeper conversations in front of the world audience. The hashtag saw Twitter explode with thousands of people asking celebrities great questions about their work!

I can’t begin to describe how happy this makes me!  Some unsuspecting shoppers in a Long Island Mall found themselves being shadowed by Disney’s finest to promote the new Disney Slides Campaign. The concept saw an array of Disney characters from Mickey and Minnie to Buzz Lightyear surprise and mirror shoppers- much to their delight! The video has received over 25 million views on the Mickey Mouse Facebook page alone- so simple, yet so effective!   Quite possibly the greatest day on earth! Wednesday was WORLD PANCAKE DAY and it saw a number of great brands jump on the back with pancake themed posts to celebrate. Samsung managed to outshine it’s competitors by making ‘Pancake Portraits’ of it’s twitter followers and celebrities! To enter, they encouraged their followers to submit a photo of themselves via twitter to see it be re-created….AS A PANCAKE! The lucky winners were re-created in pancake form and were tweeted out by Samsung for everyone to see, take a look as some of the best below;  Australia is in the midst of a major political struggle, with the Liberal Party experiencing anything but calm waters over the last few weeks. Perhaps in an effort to remove herself from the drama, Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop took part in the world’s first ‘political emoji interview’ via Buzzfeed. The minister, who has proven time and time again that she does not shy away from social engagement, took part in the interview conducted via iOS-based iMessage. Answering a broad range of questions,…

Is it un-Presidential to pose with a selfie-stick? To shoot hoops into an imaginable basket in the White House? President Obama posed these questions and more in this newly released video ‘Things that everybody does but doesn’t talk about’ via Buzzfeed. The video is produced to drive subscriptions in healthcare plans before the end of an open enrolment period in the United States. It’s a great tactic for engaging a younger audience- the key demographic!   The video had over 1.6 million views in the first hour alone! Great to see the President engaging with his audience! Great content idea from Ford capitalising on Valentine’s Day to help push their new Ford Mustang! Ford recruited a professional female driver to take several unsuspecting men on blind dates at a coffee shop in Dallas, Texas, before offering them a lift home in her 2015 Mustang GT. Mustang Speed Dating combines a beautiful blonde stunt driver,  an American muscle car and speeds of 195km an hour. Really talks to the target audience and showcases the capabilities of the new GT model. Who will inherit your Facebook account? It seems a little morbid to think about, but the world’s biggest online social network rolled out a new feature that allows people to allocate a contact as their ‘legacy contact’ to manage parts of their account after they pass on. Previous features saw accounts ‘memorialized’ after someone has passed, so that no one could login and make any changes. Now, the allocated ‘legacy contact’ can update the profile and header…

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! San Francisco Zoo has come up with a novel way to gain media interest with the perfect gift idea for scorned lovers – cockroaches! That’s right, broken hearts across the US can adopt a cockroach in the name of their ex with all proceeds going to conservation projects. McDonald’s pulls another world first out of the hat! Have you ever wanted more of that delectable Big Mac sauce? Well for the month of February, you can buy one of 600 25ml tubs available throughout Australia only!! In addition, they’re auctioning the first limited edition 500ml bottle of sauce on Ebay to raise money for Ronald McDonald House charity. A great driver for consumers and something i’m sure everyone will want a piece of. Take a look here: http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/feb/04/mcdonalds-big-mac-special-sauce-gross-or-great#img-1   Leading on from the campaign’s success in the US, Uber Australia teamed up with cat shelters in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Geelong and the Gold Coast to deliver kittens for 15 minutes of cuddle time to feline starved Australians. All the money ($40 per kitten visit!!) was donated to the shelter involved in each city. Something out of the box and very successful, the campaign received great pick up all around Australia + it’s so much fun!
